‘Sisyphus’, based on a Greek myth, explores the underlying theme of perpetual absurdity. The film revolves around a young man; a distraction, which has gradually transformed into a need that cages him, and the eternal silence imposed upon him by Time, that makes him fall for the distraction. The film deals with this tangled interrelationship between his needs and the Beyond. As Albert Camus has rightly said, “The absurd is born of this confrontation between the human need and the unreasonable silence of the world.”
